Raveena was born  on 26 October 1970, In Bombay, India. She is a daughter of Father Ravi Tandon, a Bollywood director and mother Veena. Raveena has a brother named, Rajiv Tandon. Her name is an amalgamation of her parent's name. 
She attended Jamnabai Narsee School in Juhu and studied at Mithibai College. Because of her first film offer, she dropped out of college and decided to pursue her film career. Raveena debuted in the film "Patthar Ke Phool" (1991), which was a hit film. she got Filmfare Lux New Face Award for her dedut performance. Her next film Mohra (1994) and Dilwale (1994) were big hits. Like this way her graph of filmi career goes on and on. In her film career she gives many super hit films.
In Raveena's personal life, she adopted two children Pooja and Chhaya in the 1991s. She dating film distributor Anil Thadani. Their engagement was announced in November 2003. Raveena married Thadani on 22 February 2004 in Jag Mandir Palace in Udaipur, Rajasthan in Punjabi style. Her first Baby girl born on 16 March 2005 named Rasha. and second baby boy named Ranbir on 12 July 2007.
